the park

I live next to a park in a smallish city, a place that’s liberal-esque but still aching from wounds of the past that reflect the usual racial and class divides of the south. I’m white, I’m originally from California, so in many ways I am a stranger to this area, this neighborhood. I’m interested in my daily interactions at this park, which I love so much.
